1. From 180 sq ft to 405 sq ft: Century Mills tenants to get splashier homes from BMC.

Around 675 tenants of the Century Mills compound in Lower Parel, who now live in cramped 180-sq-ft rooms and were earlier asked to vacate, are set to receive 405-sq-ft flats under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) cluster redevelopment policy. 2. Man arrested for defacing Meenatai Thackeray's statue with red oil paint at Shivaji Park, Dadar.

The statue of late Meenatai Thackeray, the wife of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray, at Shivaji Park was defaced with red oil paint, leading to the arrest of a man on Wednesday evening who was identified through CCTV cameras. 3. Rs 2,796-cr fraud: CBI files chargesheet against Anil Ambani and others.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Thursday filed a chargesheet against Anil Ambani and others in connection with alleged fraudulent transactions between his companies — RCFL and RHFL, Yes Bank and the companies owned by bank’s then managing director and CEO Rana Kapoor’s family, causing a loss of Rs 2,796 crore to the bank, officials said. 📖 Read More

4. BMC installs bollards on footpaths in Dadar and Matunga to keep motorists away.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday started work on redesigning the existing bollards on the footpaths of Baba Saheb Ambedkar Road, near the Dadar and Matunga areas. 5. 'Bhikari jaisa loan pe jee raha hai': Female bank employee misbehaves with military personnel.

A shocking audio clip has surfaced on social media in which a female employee of a renowned bank is caught misbehaving with a military personnel on phone call. The internet users are demanding action against the woman for her derogatory remarks against the Indian Armed Forces officers. It is being claimed in the viral social media post that the woman is an employee of HDFC Bank and was threatening and abusing the military personnel over a loan dispute. 📖 Read More

6. Navi Mumbai traffic police enforce ‘No Parking’ & ‘Odd-Even’ rules in Kharghar.

In response to growing congestion and accident risks caused by indiscriminate roadside parking, Navi Mumbai Traffic Police have issued a permanent notification enforcing ‘No Parking’ and ‘Odd-Even’ rules across several stretches in Kharghar from September 18. Officials said the shortage of designated parking spaces near market areas and metro stations had forced motorists to park vehicles haphazardly on both sides of the road. After repeated complaints from residents and site inspections, the new rules have been enforced under Sections 115, 116(1)(4), and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. 📖 Read More
