1. Lalbaugcha Raja idol immersed after 12-hr delay due to high tide.

The immersion of Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh idol at Girgaon Chowpatty witnessed an unusual delay of nearly 12 hours this year, with the immersion finally taking place around 9 pm on Sunday, officials said. 📖 Read Full Story

2. Mumbai's Elphinstone Bridge to close on Friday; MHADA to resettle 83 affected residents nearby.

The Mumbai Traffic Police have announced a temporary closure of the Elphinstone Bridge for vehicular traffic from 11.59 pm on Friday, September 12, to facilitate essential maintenance and construction work for the Worli-Sewri connector. The bridge, a key east-west link in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) area, will remain closed until further notice to ensure safety and efficient traffic management, stated authorities. 📖 Full Details

3. RBI acquires 16,842 sq.m freehold land in Mumbai for Rs 2,871 Crore.

According to the MMRC, RBI paid Rs 2,871 crore towards freehold ownership rights and an additional Rs 600.82 crore towards exemption from providing rehabilitation area. 5. Harbour Line services to be shut for 14.5 hours on September 13 & 14 for diversion line work.

Mumbai’s Harbour Line commuters will face a complete shutdown of services between Vadala Road and Mankhurd for nearly 14.5 hours this weekend, as the Central Railway carries out infrastructure work related to newly proposed diversion lines between Kurla and Tilak Nagar stations. 📖 Read More

6. BMC to build four-lane underpass at JVLR to ease traffic, boost pedestrian safety.

: In a major step to tackle traffic congestion and improve pedestrian safety in Jogeshwari, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to construct a four-lane underpass at the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) junction. The project is modelled on the existing underpass at Metro Cinema in Marine Lines, aimed at easing vehicular movement and providing accident-free pedestrian crossings in the busy area. 📖 Read More
